Along with the many acts heading our way this summer three more tours have been announced this week. Oklahoma-born rock 'n' roller JD McPherson is heading to New Zealand for the first time in celebration of his acclaimed release Let The Good Times Roll.
It showcases his retro-tinged rock, blues, rockabilly sound, and he'll perform with his band at the Tuning Fork on Saturday February 27. Tickets on sale from midday, Friday September 4.
Great 80s psychedelia proponents The Brian Jonestown Massacre will be returning this November for three shows.
It's part of their 25 Years — The Silver Jubilee Tour, combining some of their more recent songs from Aufhebens and Revelation, plus some older tracks which have never been played live before.
They'll be releasing a limited edition 10 inch EP, a "mini album" of all new songs cut together for the tour. They perform at the Dux Live in Christchurch on Friday November 6, Bodega in Wellington on Saturday November 7, and The Powerstation, Auckland, on Tuesday November 10. Tickets on sale now.
