Tour news: Jamie xx heads to St James

Jamie xx is heading to the St James in January.

Another act from the failed Echo Festival act is heading here for his own gig early in the New Year.

Jamie xx, whose debut solo album In Colour is featuring in many end-of-year best lists and who is is up for a Grammy for Best Dance Album, will perform at Auckland's St James on Monday January 11.

Tickets go on sale on Friday December 18 from Ticketek.

Jamie xx was among a number of overseas acts originally headed to McLaren Valley Festival which became the Auckland based Echo Festival before cancelling, leaving many ticket buyers out of pocket.

Other acts from Echo Festival festival still heading to New Zealand in January include Disclosure and Kurt Vile.
