If any movie franchise deserves an icy makeover for its live show, it surely has to be Ice Age.
The four-strong movie franchise is bringing its live show, Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure, to New Zealand in 2016.
Like recent visiting production Disney on Ice, the show is set on ice and features ice skating, aerial acrobatics, LED screens, pyro and puppetry, with a story based on the first three films in the series and a four-metre tall version of mammoth Manny.
It's a show that's already visited 30 countries over the past five years, and when it visits New Zealand for runs at Auckland's Vector Arena from May 12-15, Wellington's TSB Arena from May 19-22 and Hamilton's Claudelands Arena from May 26-29 it will be ahead of the fifth film in the franchise, Ice Age: Collision Course, due for release in July.
