Get your leotards, leg-warmers and sweatbands ready, because Flashdance is making a comeback, this time in stage musical form.
The 80s movie that saturated your ears with hits like What A Feeling, Maniac, Gloria, and I Love Rock 'n' Roll was turned into a stage musical in 2008, and has since toured Britain and the United States.
It faithfully re-tells the story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a club dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional dancer, and the full American cast will be coming to Auckland to perform at the Civic Theatre from April 20, 2016. We're looking forward to seeing the Civic turned into a steel mill, and having buckets of water splashed across the stage.
Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster from Tuesday, November 24.
