Seeing Fat Freddy's Drop and Six60 in the heat of New Zealand's summer is a right of passage for any Kiwi music lover.
But the two acts have each chosen interesting venues for their separate shows in January.
Six60 will be performing at Auckland's Villa Maria Winery on Saturday, January 16 at a concert being billed as a "festival event".
That means the show will include a yet-to-be-announced line-up of support acts, with the band promising to play songs that date back right to their, erm, roots.
The show comes after a big year for the band: Six60 released their second album in February, sold 30,000 tickets on a 14-date live trek around the country - including a sold-out show at Vector Arena, and signed with label Capitol Records. They are currently based in the United States.
