Veteran Australian singer-songwriter Ed Kuepper might be coming to support English band the Stranglers in April but he's finding time for his own solo gigs too.
Kuepper will perform at the Tuning Fork in Auckland on Saturday, April 16, and Meow in Wellington on Sunday, April 17 after his three Stranglers shows, which start at Auckland's Powerstation on April 13 before heading south.
Kuepper was a member of Oz punk pioneers the Saints and the Laughing Clowns before starting a prolific run of fine solo albums from the 1990s into the noughties, and doing occasional duties as a Bad Seed, backing Nick Cave. The Brisbane-based musician was last here opening for Television in 2013.
In other tour news, the postponed show by British rockers Bring me the Horizon has been confirmed for Sunday, September 25 at the Logan Campbell Centre. The metal band from Sheffield were due to play last month but were forced to postpone after the cancellation of Soundwave in Australia.
