The first big sideshow from Australia's mid-year festival Splendour in the Grass has been announced: acclaimed rapper Earl Sweatshirt will make the trip over the Tasman for a two-date tour in July.
Sweatshirt, who was last here as part of the 2014 Laneway festival, will perform at Wellington's Bodego on July 23 and Auckland's Studio on July 24.
Hailing from Los Angeles, Sweatshirt released his second album I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside to critical acclaim in March, and followed it up with a stand alone 10-minute project called Solace.
