They've only played one show in New Zealand before, but Death Cab For Cutie will make up for that fact with two shows in February.
The Washington trio, known for their downbeat brand of indie-rock, will perform at Wellington's Opera House on February 20 and Auckland's St James on February 23.
They were last here for a one-off show at the International Arts Festival in Wellington in 2012, at which front man Ben Gibbard declared: "How could we only just get here? What were we thinking?"
This time they'll be playing on the back of eighth album Kintsugi, released to positive reviews earlier this year, but they'll be without founding member Chris Walla, who left the band shortly after recording the album.
