Fans of The Civil Wars will be disappointed after the chamber-folk duo cancelled their first tour of New Zealand.
The American pair - Joy Williams and John Paul White - were due to perform on March 19 at Wellington's St James Theatre, and March 21 at Auckland's Holy Trinity Cathedral.
The Frontier Touring Company said the band had cancelled their 2013 tour dates worldwide. No reason was given.
The company advises ticketholders to contact their place of purchase for refund information.
The Civil Wars turned heads when they won two Grammy Awards in 2011, their debut album Barton Hollow topping 'best of' lists in Rolling Stone, Time Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.
