They've spent most of the year in a frenzy of touring overseas (most recently with Sam Smith), they're up for three trophies at the NZ Music Awards tonight (Vodafone Single of the Year, Vodafone People's Choice and Breakthrough Artist of the Year), where they're also performing, and now Broods have announced they're going to continue their never-ending schedule of shows with a nationwide tour next February.
Having made a strong impression when they released their first single Bridges last year, their debut album Evergreen went straight to number 1 on the NZ Top 40, top 5 in Australia, and top 40 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts when it was released in August. They've toured with Ellie Goulding, Haim, Chvrches, as well as performing a long list of their own sold-out headlining shows across North America and Europe.
Now they're heading out on their biggest New Zealand tour to date, taking in six major centres and performing to all age crowds everywhere.
They're starting at The Opera House in Wellington on Thursday, February 5, playing in their home town of Nelson at Nelson College on Friday, February 6, at the Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch on Saturday, February 7, at TSB Showplace in New Plymouth on Thursday, February 12, the Auckland Town Hall on Friday, February 13, and Clarence Street in Hamilton on Saturday, February 14. Tickets will be on sale on Thursday, December 4 at midday.
