If you need new jandals, now might be the time to splurge with two summer music festivals confirming their line-ups today.
Splore, now an annual event, has announced a typically eclectic roster for its February festival, including indie singer-songwriter Waxahatchee and dancehall mashup titans Dub Pistols.
Other international acts on the bill include Aussie newcomers Tkay Maidza and Jordan Rakei, UK hip-hop DJ Sarah Love, The Reverend Peyton and His Big Damned Band, the Cuban Brothers and The Correspondents.
The local contingent consists of Katchafire, The Supervillains, Tipene, Eno x Dirty and Race Banyon.
Held at Tapapakanga Park south of Auckland, Splore runs from February 19-21 and includes workshops, art trails, a safe swimming beach, boutique food stalls, a fresh-water lagoon, camping options and a family friendly atmosphere. Children under 12 are free.
