They may not bring Christina Aguilera with them this time, but singer/songwriter duo A Great Big World will play one New Zealand show in August.
The pair, best known for the hit Say Something which features Aguilera, will play at Auckland's Powerstation on August 5.
The song took the New York duo to the top 10 in 19 different countries within a year of forming, and before they had released their debut album.
Vocalist Ian Axel and writer Chad Vaccarino met while studying at New York University, and had dreams of performing on Broadway. Instead, they formed A Great Big World in 2012, and released an EP funded by fans through crowd-sourcing website, Kickstarter.
The hit Say Something was played during So You Think You Can Dance, where five-time Grammy winner Aguilera heard it and asked to work with the duo to re-release the song as a collaboration.
