Danielle Hayes has won New Zealand's Next Top Model competition.
Hayes, from Kawerau, who started the competition struggling to walk in high heels and entered on a dare, became the favourite to win the competition.
The 19-year-old was tonight awarded the Top Model title as well as winning a modelling contract, meetings with New York executives and a car.
South African-born Christchurch woman Michaela Steenkamp was the runner up, while Ezra Jenkins, who until recently competed alongside her identical twin, came third.
Denise L'Estrange-Corbet, designer for the fashion label WORLD, was the celebrity judge for the show's final and joined Sara Tetro, Chris Sisarich and Colin Mathura-Jeffree.
