Deadline reports that up to 20 people had been hired in London to start work on the upcoming movie but it has been put on hold while discussions continue over Cruise's pay.

The website added that two different reasons have been given for the hold-up. The first is that the studio wants Cruise and the other producers to cut their fee and the second is that he wants a raise to equal what he got paid for The Mummy from Universal while Paramount would prefer to pay him what he got for the fifth MI movie.
However, the salary negotiations are unlikely to affect filming, which is not due to start until January.
