Bob Dylan is giving local young buck Tim Finn a break by confirming the singer-songwriter as the opening act for his show at Vector Arena on April 30.
The 69-year-old songwriting legend was last here in August 2007 when he played Vector Arena and an intimate show at the Civic Theatre. He returns off the back of his headlining performance at the Byron Bay Blues Fest across the Tasman.
While you never can be sure what Dylan is going to play, Finn is likely to perform Split Enz classics as well as songs from his eight solo albums, including 2008's The Conversation.
This year he also releases his ninth studio album which was produced by Grammy-winning producer Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Norah Jones, Tom Waits).
