KEY POINTS:
Musicians, magicians and all kinds of performers will head to Auckland next month for the AK07 festival and tickets are already selling fast.
Tickets to the festival's major draw card - La Clique - are nearly sold out, according to AK07 spokesperson Amy Saunders, just hours after the tickets went on sale this morning.
"Ticket sales are going through the roof and the phone hasn't stopped ringing with enquiries and bookings," said Ms Saunders.
Described by the New York Times as "Cirque du Soleil's younger sister... more brash, less inhibited and more naked!" La Clique is set to be a highlight of the two week festival.
Beginning on March 9, AK07 will see performers from around New Zealand and the world head to Auckland to partake in the biannual event.
Musicians Don McGlashlan, Dave Dobbyn and magician Paul Zenon are just some the acts set to take the stage in The Famous Spiegeltent - a European mirrored tent described as "the ultimate cabaret and music salon".
The festival will also feature an open-air cinema near Britomart, which will screen a series of films nightly, based on the theme Cowboys and Clowns.
Featuring more than 70 events, AK07 runs from Friday March 9 until Sunday March 25.
