"Thunderbirds are go" will once again be heard on the small screen next year when a remake of the 1960s cult-classic TV show is aired - and to wet fan's appetites a teaser trailer has been released.
The short clip shows the Thunderbird's space station orbiting earth and receiving a distress call. The anonymous voice says: "Mayday! Mayday! Please respond! This is a distress call! We need your help. Please respond! International Rescue, are you reading us?"
Unlike the Gerry Anderson created original, in which the characters were puppets, the new version is a mix of live action and CGI.
The show is being aired next year, 50 years after the original first hit the screen and is being made in Wellington by Weta Workshops, Pukeko Pictures and Britain's ITV.
