Those crazy cats Cedric and Omar from the Mars Volta are on their way back to New Zealand to wreak havoc on your ears, body and mind.
The prog funk metallers' show at the Logan Campbell Centre on June 26 is part of the band's world tour to celebrate the release of their fourth album The Bedlam In Goliath which came out earlier this year.
With songs like Goliath, Wax Simulacra and Cavalettas it's their heaviest album yet and it should be some show.

This month the Mint Chicks return to New Zealand from their new base in Portland, Oregon, for an autumn tour including the Coliseum, Tauranga, April 24 and the Kings Arms, Auckland, April 25. Also, Belfast punk rockers Stiff Little Fingers, who have some of the shortest, niftiest punk rock tunes around, play the Powerstation on May 14 and the Civic in Christchurch on May 15.
Meanwhile, the biggest baddest funk band in the land is calling it quits. One Million Dollars, who released their second album Soup Kitchen last year, will celebrate with two final shows this month at Wellington's San Francisco Bathhouse on April 12 and at 4.20 in Auckland on April 17.
