Spark Arena: A legend arrives on Sunday in the form of Bob Dylan. The beloved rocker, who became the first songwriter to win the Nobel Prize for literature in 2016, was last in New Zealand for three arena shows in 2014. The 77-year-old's career spans 60 years and boasts a catalogue of 50 albums and countless beloved hits. Dylan and his band received rave reviews for their last New Zealand shows and the singer will undoubtedly win us over again. He plays one night at Spark Arena before heading to Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on Tuesday.

Devonport Yacht Club: No, it's not the start of the summer sailing season — an event which might cheer us up because it would mean warm weather and long evenings — but the Wonderfish Collective, Auckland's humming musical group of 15 musicians including backing singers, a horn section and a string quartet. Following sell-out Dylan and Bowie shows in recent years, the collective returns with a Funk & Soul Revue featuring renditions of classics from the 70s and honouring artists such as Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Earth Wind & Fire, Aretha Franklin, Boney M and more. There's another show on September 8 at the Leigh Sawmill.
