Singing along to The Exponents' hit Why Does Love Do This To Me at the top of your lungs along with a boozed-up crowd is apparently no longer the live drawcard it once was.
The Jordan Luck-fronted band has been forced to cancel all 28 dates on their upcoming New Zealand tour, with promoters blaming poor ticket sales.
The Exponents were due to begin their 30th anniversary tour on March 9 in Timaru, and were set to tour 28 centres until the last date on April 10 in Whangerei.
But co-promoter Brent Eccles told Fairfax Media the tour had been cancelled because "the timing was just wrong for it".
"The market wasn't reacting like we thought it would ... There are a lot of other things going on and the timing for this tour just didn't feel right," Eccles said.
