Gigi Hadid's modelling dreams have come true after being invited to strut out as a Victoria's Sectret angel.

Officials at the lingerie company posted a video of the moment Hadid discovered she would be a part of their end of year show on Twitter.

The accompanying caption read: "We love surprises so here's a BIG one for @GiGiHadid at the #VSFashionShow castings! See you on the runway, Gigi."

The thrilled beauty, who is currently dating pop star Joe Jonas, replied with an excited Tweet of her own: "Anyone that grew up w/me (with me) knows that this show has been a dream of mine 4ever! THANK U VS... Brought me to tears."

She also shared the video of her reaction to the news while still wearing black lingerie.

Jonas was also thrilled for his girlfriend, tweeting, "@GiGiHadid so happy for you."

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air in America in December.
