Progress on the movie version of The Last of Us - one of this generation's most popular and critically acclaimed video games - has stalled.
Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann told IGN that despite strong script that saw it reach to the point of having a table read, the project had entered "development hell".
"There hasn't been any work done on it in over a year and a half," he said.
Released in 2013, The Last of Us won many game of the year awards thanks to its post-apocalyptic tale of two survivors: hardman Joel and his teen sidekick Ellie.
That the movie version has a decent script puts it ahead of the Uncharted movie, which Naughty Dog is only "somewhat involved" in.
