Eight members of The Hills reunited at the MTV Video Music Awards in Manhattan to help announce the cable network's 2019 reboot of the retro reality show.
It's been eight years since the LA-based gang was last in the spotlight for the Laguna Beach spin-off (2006-2010), which was criticised for fabricating storylines.
But following the tremendous success of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, MTV will "soon" debut The Hills: New Beginnings.
The 30-second preview - which aired during the ceremony - featured LA landscapes, a remix of the Unwritten theme song, and the quote: "It's like we're all growing up, it's weird."
Mingling during the pre-show were Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi, Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado, Jason Wahler and his wife Ashley, Justin Brescia, and Stephanie Pratt, the Daily Mail reports.
New Beginnings is said to focus on "the original castmembers, their children, and friends as they follow their personal and professional lives."
According to Us Weekly, a mystery celebrity as well as two blogging influencers will also guest star in the upcoming reimaginging.
33-year-old Audrina donned a silver fringed mini-dress, 32-year-old Stephanie took the plunge in a red-lace Stello gown, and 31-year-old Heidi wore a cross-backed metallic mini-dress.
As a first-time mother, Pratt struggled to find somewhere to breastfeed their 10-month-old son Gunner backstage, and she left the glitzy awards show early with the baby.
Missing from the Radio City Music Hall festivities was Whitney Port, who hinted at her owninvolvement with a tweet teasing the unveiling: "Everything MIGHT happen tonight at the #VMAs!"
The 33-year-old I Love My Baby But vlogger - who has a 13-month-old son Sonny with husband Tim Rosenman - told Us Weekly in June that a reboot would "definitely be something fun."
And though Kristin Cavallari remains very close with some of her old castmembers, she contractually can't make a cameo due to her E! series Very Cavallari - according to People.
The Hills originally centred on Lauren Conrad, but she told Access Hollywood back in 2013 that she was "not looking to go back" and said the show "made me uncomfortable."
And Love Wellness founder Lo Bosworth told her Lady Lovin' podcast in February that she said "F***, no! I don't want any association with those people" after a TV executive reached out to her.
As for Brody Jenner, the newlywed DJ will kick off his 36th birthday weekend with a couple of nightclub hosting gigs in San Diego and Las Vegas.
