The epic statements that got jurors dismissed in the 'Pharma Bro' case

One said he "kind of looks like a dick". Another said, "I hate him". A third called him "a greedy little man".

But the best line came from a rap fan, who said he "disrespected the Wu-Tang Clan".

Those lines come from the official transcripts of jury selection at the beginning of Martin Shkreli's fraud trial, at which more than 200 potential jurors were dismissed because they couldn't be impartial.

The pharmaceutical CEO will soon be sentenced after being convicted of three counts of fraud after facing federal charges he deceived investors in a pair of failed hedge funds. He has said he doesn't think he will go to jail.

But the jury selection paints a grim picture about how people view Shkreli, who is known for raising the price of Aids drug Daraprim by 5000 per cent and for buying a rare Wu-Tang Clan album for a rumoured $2 million and refusing to release it.

"The purpose of jury selection is to ensure fairness and impartiality in this case. If you think that you could not be fair and impartial, it is your duty to tell me. All right. Juror Number 1," the judge states.

Juror Number 1 replied: "I'm aware of the defendant and I hate him ... I think he's a greedy little man."

Another potential juror dismissed by the judge said: "Totally he is guilty and in no way can I let him slide out of anything".

A third simply called him "a snake".
