The Divergent series is reportedly ditching the big screen in favour of a television movie and a spin-off series.
The popular young adult series, based on a series of novels of the same name by Veronica Roth, has so far seen three films from the book trilogy with a fourth due to hit screens mid-2017.
But Variety is now reporting that Lionsgate is in negotiations to have the final instalment - The Divergent Series: Ascendant - wrap up on the small screen instead.
While no deals have been officially made and the studio is yet to pitch the idea to any TV networks, "an individual with knowledge of the situation" said they were looking at a TV movie which would then lead into a standalone TV series set in the same world.
A new cast of characters would be introduced once the main cast's storylines were wrapped up in the final film, Variety reports. It's unclear if the others films' original actors would return for the TV film.
