Reeve, 31, the father of young identical twin sons, will take up a new post at Hauraki from next month - hosting his own show from 5-6 each morning. It will be the frontrunner to Hauraki Breakfast, hosted by Matt Heath, Jeremy Wells and Laura McGoldrick. Reeve will also regularly contribute on the station.
Despite time still remaining on their ZM contract, Reeve and Flynn decided they were outgrowing the station's youth 15-39-year-old core demographic and wanted a change. Both are dads, and both were looking for a more suitable brand fit. Neither wanted to leave the company.
As to who will be the new face of ZM drive in the new year, that's under wraps for now. Gemma Fordham, NZME. radio chief content officer, says an announcement will be made soon.
It's Richie, Gemma... And him
What was supposed to be a simple selfie in a convertible turned into a group vehicular shot.
All Black skipper Richie McCaw and girlfriend Gemma Flynn, who are holidaying in California with friends, were victims of a drive-by photobombing. Well, more a stationary-at-the-traffic-lights photobombing. McCaw, who has ended his Movember commitment to growing the ugliest facial hair in history, was behind the wheel.
Later, they took in a Fleetwood Mac concert with Kiwi equestrian rider Georgie Palmer and her partner.
Noble name for SBW's baby
Sonny Bill Williams and wife Alana.
The newborn daughter of sports legend Sonny Bill Williams and his wife Alana Raffie-Williams has been given a noble name by her proud parents -- Imaan.
A Koranic name for girls, Imaan means faith or believe in Allah. She does not have a middle name, her father says. He says she is the apple of his eye.
"[Her birth] was the best moment of my life, by far, and it didn't do it justice watching it on Skype," the All Black told The Diary yesterday while on a publicity blitz for Just Jeans, for which he is the face of their summer range.
"She has changed my life. She's made me want to be a better man. And thank god she looks like her mother! She's got Alana's eyes and my colouring. She weighed 7.5 pounds ... She's going to be tall."
SBW, 29, was on tour with the All Blacks in Cardiff when his wife went into labour. He was given the day off from training to watch the birth of his firstborn live on the internet.
Last week he flew back to Sydney to meet his daughter for the first time.
"When I saw my child for the first time it just switched the switch, you know. That's when you realise you love something more than you love yourself." Imaan, most popularly spelt Iman, is a female Islamic name, and often given to women of royal birth.
Princess Iman of Jordan, the daughter of the late King Hussein, is a famous bearer of the name, as is the daughter of Queen Rania and King Abdullah, the current monarchs of Jordan.
The best-known Iman in the West is Somalian supermodel and Mrs David Bowie.
Sonny has relocated to Hamilton, where he has a contract with the Chiefs Super Rugby franchise.
His wife and daughter are expected to make the move in the new year.
