Urban's agent and good friend, Imogen Johnson, refused to dispel the rumours.
"I really don't want to comment on Karl's personal life," she told The Diary yesterday.
Sackhoff took to Twitter to say she was in "#Ptown to hang with the fam".
The sci-fi actress, who is best known for her role as Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica, became close to Urban during filming last year, a source says.
Five months ago, Urban announced via a publicity statement that he'd separated from the mother of his two young children.
Besties oblivious to wardrobe malfunction

She channelled a modern-day Annie Hall at the red-carpet premiere, but at The Hunger Games after-party at Balthazar restaurant in London on Monday night, Lorde was more daring, wearing a black skirt with thigh-high side splits. However, it was the black-cab ride afterwards that hit the British headlines, with new BFF Jennifer Lawrence exposing more than she bargained for. J-Law's embarrassing wardrobe malfunction gave the waiting paps more than an eyeful. Perhaps the girls' laughter illustrates their obliviousness.
Look who we spotted ...

Who: All Black skipper Richie McCaw and teammates Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara and Israel Dagg (a bestie of Lydia Ko) playing a round of golf on Wednesday under the tutelage of Scottish golfing legend and two-time major golf champion, Sandy Lyle.
Where: Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian, Scotland.
Why: Downtime, apparently. The night before, the team had dinner at Edinburgh Castle.
What else: Richie flies planes, choppers, gliders, plays bagpipes - and now drives golf buggies. Is there anything he can't do? Maybe he could give TJ some golfing tips. Word is, the halfback struggled in the rough.
Smash hit
Kim Kardashian's rear wasn't the only thing to break the internet. A video of a Jesse Ryder six has become an online hit because the Otago Volts batsman hit the ball into commentator Ian Smith's car. Smithy, a veteran of the commentary box, was calling the Super Smash match in Hamilton when Ryder smashed a six over the boundary and the ball landed on the roof of a vehicle parked close to the field, leaving a visible dent. "It's on my car!? It is. I think it hit my car," said a horrified Smith. "I don't believe it. The downside of getting a park so close. It's a rental. I don't believe it. I think it's mine. For God's sake, Jesse."
Beehive bound
Radio New Zealand journalist Nicola Grigg has resigned and will take up a role as press secretary for Transport and Energy and Resources Minister Simon Bridges. She's relocating from Christchurch to Wellington and will start before the end of the year, the Tauranga MP told The Diary yesterday. Grigg, who had a brief romance with All Black captain Richie McCaw in 2011, has long ties to the National party, although she told The Diary this year that she wasn't a committed "card-carrying member".
Bubbly mates
It's no secret they're very good mates. Hauraki's breakfast crew, Jeremy Wells, Laura McGoldrick and Matt Heath, became even closer at a company away day to Waiheke Island last week, where they were snapped cavorting in the spa pool grotto at exclusive Delamore Lodge. They reckon it was brainstorming session. The sort that evidently requires sunnies and tipple. "We came up with a corker: 'Jacuzzi Tuesdays'," they said. "We thought of it while we were in the jacuzzi. Geddit?" They say more will be revealed on the new show on ... Tuesday.
