The Crown star Claire Foy was almost denied entry into the official Emmys afterparty - despite just winning the award for best actress in a drama.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, security were about to bar Foy as her ticket was ripped - but Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness came to her rescue, successfully persuading the guards to let her through.
The two had reportedly met moments before, when Foy asked Van Ness to record a message for her sister, a Queer Eye fan.
Foy won the best actress Emmy for her turn as Queen Elizabeth II in the second season of Netflix's The Crown. The season was Foy's last turn as the Queen before the role is turned over to Olivia Colman for season three.
Foy's fellow nominees included Elisabeth Moss, up for the second season of The Handmaid's Tale, and Sandra Oh, nominated for Killing Eve.
