The creator of The Walking Dead is mad as hell at the creator of Game of Thrones

A zombie 'Walker' from The Walking Dead and a 'White Walker' from the TV show Game of Thrones.

The Walking Dead's main man has sparked some serious beef with the creator of Game of Thrones.

Robert Kirkman, the creator of the zombie-loving comic book series and a producer on AMC's hit TV show of the same name, fires up at Thrones author George RR Martin in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

While both shows contain zombies, that's not the reason Kirkman is mad at Martin.

Instead, he's angry that Martin gave away plot points to the showrunners of Game of Thrones for Thrones books that he hasn't yet written.

The latest season of Thrones, its sixth, powers past the five novels written by Martin, and heads into territory that he hasn't yet unveiled.

Recently, it was revealed that Martin revealed to show bosses the reason behind Hodor's name, resulting in a tear-jerking scene in a recent episode.

But giving away future plot ideas is something that Kirkman, who has written 154 issues of his Walking Dead series, says he'd never do.

"That's the one thing I'm disappointed in George RR Martin for doing. He should have just been like, F*** you. You make it up now, I'll get to mine when I'm ready," he says.

Kirkman also uses the interview to express surprise at those who thought the controversial ending of The Walking Dead's sixth season - in which the series blacked out before it revealed which one of Rick's survivors Negan had killed - was a cop out.

"We knew that people might be upset, but come on! Everybody wants to see what happened. That's what a cliffhanger is," he said.

"If you can do something that has people talking about your show in that gap between seasons, that's great. We just ask that if you've enjoyed the show so far, just know, season seven is going to be pretty great."
