Heeeeeeeee's back! Brian - love-you-long -time-New-Zealand - Long returns for another twirl at our annual Fashion Week which kicks off on Tuesday.
A week-long, all-expenses-paid junket will probably do that, though.
The stylist, who counted Nicky Hilton as a client, has apparently stipulated he must sit with Todd Corder and Clif Loftin in the front row.
"What, are they the three bloody musketeers?" a fashion bitch bemoaned.
Krista White (seriously, who?) comes with the explanatory tag: "from America's Next Top Model" on the Fashion Week memos to registered designers. Without that, most wouldn't have the foggiest who she is.
Krista won the last series of America's Next Top Model. You may wonder why you haven't seen her. The series hasn't actually screened here yet.
She will be bringing her little-known celebrity status to our shores and organisers have told designers not to request her at their shows. Instead, Ms White has selected which shows she wishes to attend.
Only four shows made the cut.
A Fashion Week rep contacted Zambesi, NomD, World and Huffer to specify front row seats for the reality TV star and her hand-holder. One designer replied: "Thanks, but no thanks."
American fashion designer Nicole Miller is jetting in on Tuesday night. She will only be at shows on Friday, which is of little concern for one fashion designer who told Spy she didn't see the relevance in having another designer at her show. "How is that going to help me make sales?" she said.
On the schlebrity front, organisers said Amber Peebles and Jay Reeves "have expressed interest in being seated at some shows". They are music TV presenters with a fashion bent. Former beauty queen Peebles has confessed she often whips up her own clothes on the Bernina.
Anika Moa will be front row at the Cybele and Salasai show. Her EP will be in the swag bag.
Other celeb names being dropped as possible goody bag recipients include Brooke Fraser, Sam Hayes, Dane Rumble, Nick D, Rachel Smalley, Ali Mau and Ali Pugh. Let's hope Petra Bagust makes an appearance and ups the celebrity fashion quotient.
World hosts the most sought-after show at Fashion Week and this year, due to space, they are holding a special show for the public to attend. Tickets are $75 each which includes wine, cocktails and canapes by the Langham Hotel's executive chef.
