The properties at 74, 76, 78 and 80 Anzac St, Takapuna were done up by inaugural Block couples Rachel and Tyson, Sarah and Richard, Ben and Libby and Ginny and Rhys.
Sibling team Libby and Ben Crawford won the season, selling their house for a profit of $157,000 and winning the $80,000 prize money. Dating couple Sarah Adams and Richard Boobyer came second, selling their house for a $64,000 profit, teenage sweethearts Ginny Death and Rhys Wineera sold their house for a profit of $11,000, while engaged couple Rachel Rasch and Tyson Hill sold their house for the reserve price.
The Block team's profits have soared along with the hot Auckland property market. Season 5 Block couples made between $150,000 to $380,000 profit at their auction night on Sunday.
Auburn bought the properties over seven months from individual owners, Fairfax reported. The properties will be developed into the Sargeson Apartments with 92 units. The properties, which range from $395,000 for a 40sq m studio apartment to $825,000 for a 78sq m two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse, have all been sold.
Three of the houses would be taken to new sites.
