NBC and Sony have just given the green light to make a Blacklist spin-off, to be titled The Blacklist: Redemption.
The new series will be headed by Famke Janssen and Ryan Eggold, in which Janssen will play the mother to Eggold's character Tom Keen, who has been a regular on Blacklist since its debut in 2013.

The new show revolves around Keen as he's being recruited into a "private military organisation" called Grey Matters. He soon discovers his long-lost mother (Janssen) is the unit's leader, and he sets out to find out more about her and his past.
Janssen's character, Susan "Scottie" Hargrave, has already appeared in The Blacklist, during an episode which aired earlier this month, and a pilot episode of the new project aired as part of Blacklist this week.
