Jordan took a back seat as Fleur cooed over her sister's newborn.
It's a moment most of us dread at the best of times. But when you're dating two other women, meeting the parents takes on a whole new level of awkward.
The Bachelor's Jordan Mauger had to endure that awkwardness not once, not twice, but three times as he toured the country to meet the final three contestants' families.
First up was Fleur, who seemingly forgot about Mauger as she cuddled her sister's newborn baby.
As the family crowded around Fleur, Mauger reminded them he was the star of the show, busting out some beginner's Dutch.
It didn't take an expert to tell it was terrible. But just to confirm, Fleur's dad Hans told us: "Jordan's Dutch was terrible."
But despite joining Fleur's brother-in-law for an intense chat around the barbecue, Mauger didn't get the grilling he expected and left hand-in-hand with a happy Fleur.
Next up, Erin introduced Mauger to the bright lights of Auckland's Milford, where he met Erin's mother, auntie and best friend Jaimee.
It didn't take long to win Jaimee over, who was brought to tears by Mauger's describing Erin as "cool as a cucumber".
Her mum was less easily impressed, telling Mauger: "You are the poster boy for serial dating. Are you ready to settle down or has it given you a taste for 'this is great'?"
Mauger was quick to assure her: "After this experience, I'll never date more than one girl again."
Last up, he headed to Christchurch to see Naz and meet her sister, Big Naz.
Mauger proved a big hit with the smallest member of the family, Jasmine, who happily bounced on his knee, before crying when handed to Auntie Naz.
Big Naz wasn't as convinced, hesitating when asked if he passed her approval.
"I do see a few good qualities in Jordan... It's a 90 per cent pass. It's a lot."
Tomorrow night will see the remaining three contestants share "overnight" dates with Mauger before one of them is sent home, ahead of Monday's grand finale.
