Metal fans rejoice - long-standing radio show The Axe Attack has been revived online.
Hosted by Devilskin guitarist Paul "The Axeman" Martin, the show had been running since 1992 on radio station The Rock but mysteriously disappeared from airwaves earlier this year. The station blamed office upgrades, but the show never returned.
That led to fans voicing their disappointment on Facebook, with a "Bring Back the Axe Attack" Facebook page attracting nearly 7000 likes.
Today, Martin announced the show would be returning via online radio streaming service iHeartRadio, with a three-hour show that would run around the clock and be updated every Thursday.
"I am truly excited about the future of The Axe Attack and being able to deliver an exciting mix of some of the most influential and powerful music the planet has ever produced, proudly side by side with our own kickass homegrown artists," Martin said.
