The All Black, his wife, his girlfriend, and the baby

All Black Luke McAlister can cut an adorable figure backstage at the Trelise Cooper kids' show during Fashion Week. He joined the group of devoted parents and minders, including Keisha Castle-Hughes, Fleur Revell-Devlin and Petra Bagust's mum Judy, who played the roles of comforters, cheerleaders and dressers getting the littlies into their next outfit and on to the stage.

McAlister clearly is a devoted dad. He hugged his beautiful 4-year-old daughter Astyn and brushed away her tears when she sobbed she didn't want to go back on the stage. Bless.

Now he's expecting another bubs, this time to blonde girlfriend Amanda Wilby. The couple are expecting their first baby in May, appropriately on Mother's Day.

Despite still being legally married to gorgeous Brooke and owning a house together in Takapuna, McAlister purchased a new home this year in neighbouring Milford, paying $1.9 million. He remains on excellent terms with Brooke and the couple share custody of Astyn, who will soon turn 5.

A source close to McAlister told Spy he is a devoted father. "He braids Astyn's hair and washes her clothes. He adores his little girl."

Neither Brooke nor Luke have filed for divorce, despite separating two years ago. Though, with a new family on the way, presumably a legal split and separation of the financial assets is next on the agenda. Luke did not return Spy's messages.

Tamahori's terror

Lee Tamahori is set to direct The Devil's Double, a film about Latif Yahia, an Iraqi army lieutenant who was forced to become the body double of Saddam Hussein's pyschopathic son Uday for four-and-a-half years. Yahia eventually escaped to Europe with the help of the CIA and Tamahori's movie discloses exclusive information that was unable to be revealed when Uday and Saddam were alive.

With a reported budget of US$10-25 million, the thriller is set to put the Kiwi director back on Tinseltown's map after his three-year hiatus since his last film Next with Nicolas Cage and Julianne Moore. He first rose to directorial prominence with Once Were Warriors, Along Came A Spider and the James Bond movie Die Another Day with Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry. Then the cross-dressing encounter in 2006 on Santa Monica Boulevard brought him much unwanted attention. He was arrested in a police sting for allegedly offering an undercover cop oral sex.
