Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt of The Mighty Boosh have quashed rumours that they will be reforming with a new tour and "psychedelic" movie.
The comedy troupe were reported in the Mail on Sunday to have announced plans to "make something great for the fans" after their cult BBC comedy series ended in 2007.
"We're going on tour early in the New Year," Fielding supposedly told the newspaper. "We'll be working on material that hopefully could make a movie," added Barratt.
But now, a statement has appeared on the Boosh's fansite The Velvet Onion stating that the plans have been made up and management has confirmed the story as false.
"As of today, there are no confirmed live dates. There's no confirmed movie details. There's no plans for the television series to return. The album release remains in limbo," it read.
