The voice of Snow White, Adriana Caselotti, was 18 when she got the part. However she wasn't aware she was voicing a full-length film. At the premiere, Adriana saw all the movie stars - Marlene Dietrich, Carole Lombard, Gary Cooper - and realised her voice had starred in a movie.
2. Snow White had to supplement her income
Caselotti was allegedly paid US$20 a day to voice Snow White, for a total of US$970. Later on Caselotti autographed hundreds of letter and photos to supplement her income.

The transformation of Cinderella's rags to ball gown was said to be Walt Disney's favourite piece of animation.
4. Clumsy Cinderella
We all know Cinderella loses her glass slipper when she runs from the ball. She actually loses her shoe three times during the film - when she delivers the breakfast, and when she walks down the steps with her new husband.
5. Ariel's fiery locks
The Little Mermaid's red hair was deliberate, so that she would be distinguished from Daryl Hannah's Splash.
6. Belle's dress
Belle's beautiful yellow ballgown was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's dress in Roman Holiday.
7. Belle's hair flick
Throughout the film, Belle has a strand of hair that falls into her face and she brushes aside. The signature move was inspired by voice actress, Paige O'Hara, who auditioned for the role. When O'Hara auditioned, a bit of her hair flew in her face and she tucked it back.
8. Pocahontas - five years in the making
Disney animators took five years to create Pocahontas. The colouring and styling made the film so complex to create.
9. Princess Merida's hair
The hair of Brave's Princess Merida was created by more than 1,500 individually sculptured strands that generated a total of 111,700 hairs. If her curls were straightened, her hair would be four feet long and reach down her legs.
10. The voice of Tiana
Alicia Keys auditioned three times for the role of Tiana, and it's reported Tyra Banks and Jennifer Hudson also wanted the role. The producers would have offered the role to Beyonce, but she did not want to audition. In the end, Anika Noni Rose got the part.
