Justin Bieber, the Taylor Hanson of the decade, has been a top-trending topic on Twitter for months, and now he is coming to New Zealand ... but not for a show.

The 16-year-old with the overgrown bowl-cut, famous for being friends with Usher, will be in Auckland on April 28 for a day of promotion. Rumour has it he will be visiting one lucky school while he is here.

If the online hyperactivity is anything to go by, Aucklanders should expect a storm of fanatical young girls scouring the streets for a glimpse of their idol. If they are not planning what to wear on the day, teen tweeters are urging their Twitter contacts to join their online crusade to pressure their mums to let them go to Auckland airport to catch a glimpse of Bieber walking through the arrivals gate.
