LoveLake Festival 2018 will bring a weekend of yoga, meditation, mindfulness, music and aroha to Taupo's Wairakei Resort next month.
The event will take place from the evening of Thursday March 8 to the afternoon of Sunday March 11, featuring a lineup of 23 teachers and artists from across New Zealand and around the world.
The cancellation of Wanderlust Great Lake Taupo 2018 was followed by a huge response from yoga instructors, organisations, and artists offering their services to ensure that people that loved their annual weekend of wellness were not left disappointed.
"We're so excited to offer such a high class of teaching and musical talent at LoveLake," festival directors Sandon Ihaia and Chris Scott said.
"The support from the community so far has been incredible, we've been absolutely blown away."
Internationally renowned yoga teacher and author Kara-leah Grant said all five Kiwi yoga teachers that were contacted from the original Wanderlust line-up reconfirmed for LoveLake without hesitation.
"We're also stoked to give another three New Zealand teachers the opportunity to share their gifts and talents with the yoga community," she said.
"Nature abhors a vacuum, so it's no surprise that LoveLake was able to rise from the ashes with such ease. The yoga community is buzzing with excitement with the news they have somewhere new, heartfelt and homegrown to connect, yoga, meditate, dance and play."
Wairakei Resort general manager Kathy Guy said LoveLake promised to be yet another enlightening, fun weekend in Taupo.
"It has been an incredibly busy couple of weeks where a group of passionate locals have worked tirelessly to make this festival a reality, not only for those that will attend, but the Taupo region as a whole," Guy said.
"Everybody involved has come together with the main motive to provide a fantastic festival for New Zealand's yoga, meditation and music loving community.
"We look forward to doing our part in delivering another world-class festival."
