He received a mixed reaction as host as the New Zealand Music Awards, but Taika Waititi will be getting back in front of an audience again at the Sundance Film Festival.
Waititi has been named as the host of the feature film awards ceremony on January 30, an event that will be livestreamed around the world.
It will be Waititi's first jaunt on stage since the Music Awards, a performance which divided audiences.
While those at the event appeared to love it, others at home weren't as enthusiastic and Waititi later blamed TV3 for editing his hosting duties badly.
"On behalf of @TV3nz I apologise for screening only 60% of the show and cutting out the best bits, including the constant audience laughter," he wrote on Facebook.
