New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi has been announced as one of the directors for the Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian.
The Thor: Ragnarok director will direct one episode of the eight-episode Disney series.
Waititi will join other directors such as Dave Filoni, who has worked on previous Star Wars films, Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard, Dope's Rick Famuyiwa, and Better Call Saul director Deborah Chow.
Lucasfilm has been tight lipped on details about the series but earlier this week issued a synopsis revealing more details.
