Thor: Ragnarok director, Taika Waititi, has opened up about working with Chris Hemsworth.
The 42-year-old Kiwi said how he thinks Chris' sense of humour is unappreciated in Hollywood.
Speaking to Spectrum, Taika said he wanted to make the latest Thor installment more humorous, as Chris, 34, is a 'real comic talent', said the Daily Mail.
"I don't think they'd exploited that enough, not only in the Thor films or the Avenger films but in any of the other films he's been in," Taika said.
"He's a real comic talent and I feel like that was something that needed to be showcased," he added, saying his pitch to Marvel was based on showing Chris' funny side.
He said that it would also help make the Thor - the god of Thunder - seem 'cooler' to fans.
Taika also spoke about the idea of directing another Hollywood film, and took a swipe at some of the big 'egos' in Hollywood.
'There's definitely a lot of egos out there that I'm not very interested in working with,' he said, referring to some "celebrity actors".
Thor: Ragnarok stars the likes of Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins.
Chris opened up about making films, and told The Daily Telegraph that he'd love if more films were shot in Australia.
"I would love to shoot everything here," Chris said, having filmed Thor: Ragnarok in Queensland.
While being interviewed on the red carpet at Australia's Thor: Raganok premiere on the Gold Coast on Friday night he praised his local filming experience.
'This is one of the best experiences I've had on a set and to catch up with them have them see all their hard work is very special," he said.
Chris added: "Anything I read or anything that comes my way, I'm trying to bring back here."
The film comes out in Australia on October 26.
The Australian site cited a 'heightened threat level' as the issue.
