The costume worn by actor Christopher Reeve in the original Superman film nearly 30 years ago has sold for £8400 ($21,846) at an auction in London.
Reeve's outfit - the iconic pale blue leotard with S logo and yellow belt, matching tights and a pair of red leather knee-length boots - which he wore in the 1978 film, had been expected to fetch up to £6000.
