Lady Gaga says it was a "dream come true" singing the American national anthem at today's Super Bowl.
She belted out The Star-Spangled Banner during the annual sporting event, which takes place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California today (NZ time), in what she described as one of the "highest honours" of her career.
The singer channeled her inner patriot in a glittering red pantsuit and eye shadow, striped platforms and blue nails for the occasion.
Gaga didn't miss a beat during the emotionally charged rendition which had every fan in the stadium on their feet cheering and whistling.
She finished on a perfectly executed note, as six US Navy Blue Angels flew in formation overhead.
