KEY POINTS:
It's officially summer everyone - the feelers have announced their summer tour. More on that annual two-week party later but another indication of summer kicking in is that the gigs just keep on coming.
Heading the latest announcements is a show by American band Sonic Youth who play the Bruce Mason Centre on February 16 when they will perform all of their classic 1988 album, Daydream Nation. Tickets on sale Monday.
Speaking of legends, following the success of Th' Dudes reunion last year, this summer the band is taking it back to where it all began nearly 30 years ago ... the pub.
They are doing a crawl of summer hot spots starting in Mangawhai on December 28 and ending at Butlers Reef in Taranaki on January 5.
Also hitting the pubs are the feelers, with Elemeno P and Atlas, on a 15-date tour starting at the Brownzy in Auckland on December 19. For tour details, see feelers.co.nz.
Meanwhile, Australia's winery tour concerts, A Day On the Green, are coming to New Zealand with Joe Cocker headlining three dates including a show at Villa Maria on January 28.
But wait, there's more: Ween play the Powerstation on February 25; Fat Freddys Drop play Music Mountain Matakana on February 23; Soundsplash is on in Raglan from February 15-17, and more acts have been announced for Splore, including Surf City, Antix and Three Houses Down.
