KEY POINTS:
Lace up those trainers and dust off your best skeleton suit because the Chemical Brothers are coming to work it out.
It's been three years since the Chems, electronic knob twiddlers Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, were last here, to headline the Boiler Room at the 2005 Big Day Out.
They play Vector Arena on February 28 as part of their worldwide tour in support of latest album, We Are the Night, which features singles Do It Again and Salmon Dance.
That album has less of the block rockin' beats the Bros are renowned for, but rest assured they will play early hits like Song to the Siren, Setting Sun and Hey Boy, Hey Girl.
Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster on October 1.
Also in February next year is the inaugural Raggamuffin reggae festival which will be held in Rotorua with headliners UB40 and feature the Wailers, Maxi Priest, Arrested Development, and our own Black Seeds and Katchafire, among many others.
UB40 are arguably the world's most popular reggae band, having sold more than 70 million albums, and the Wailers feature original members Aston "Family Man" Barrett and Al Anderson.
The 10-hour festival, which also incorporates funk, dub, hip-hop and soul acts, will take place at Rotorua International Stadium on February 2.
Tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster on October 1.
Finally, returning for his third visit to New Zealand is Jose Gonzalez in support of his second album In Our Nature. Already famous for his hit Heartbeat from debut Veneer he plays on January 8 at the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland, then January 9, The Opera House, Wellington and January 10, James Hay Theatre, Christchurch.
