The Sugababes are reportedly set to kick out newest member Amelle Berrabah, after a string of furious rows.
Founder Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range are said to be frustrated with Amelle's behaviour and are looking to replace her.
Sources claim things came to a head when Amelle - who was recently arrested following a brawl in a nightclub - failed to appear for a concert and arrived late for recording sessions for their new album.
"Keisha and Heidi are the ultimate professionals when it comes to their career, A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper.
"They have worked hard for everything they have achieved. Amelle doesn't seem to take it seriously. They've had blazing rows over her timekeeping.
"Amelle was handed a golden ticket and the chance to be in one of the UK's most successful girl bands. But Keisha and Heidi feel she has let them down."
The pair are believed to have held secret auditions to find Amelle's replacement.
However, the group issued a statement denying the claims.
"Things couldn't be better in the band at the moment. Amelle, Heidi and I are a rock solid team," Keisha Buchanan said in the statement.
Amelle added, "I'm 110 per cent committed to Sugababes. It's a dream come true. I can't wait to perform the new album live."
Keisha and Heidi stood by Amelle when her ex-boyfriend Freddie Fuller was questioned by police over the alleged rape of the singer's younger sister - a claim he strenuously denies.
The Sugababes have undergone numerous line-ups changes since they formed.
Amelle joined the band in December 2005, replacing original member Mutya Buena.
The group had their first hit in 2000, with the original line-up Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan Donaghy.
However, Siobhan left soon after and was replaced in 2001 by Heidi.
