She lived in Suburgatory but now the show's Jane Levy is enduring the horrors of a New Zealand film shoot.
The rising star of the TV2 dramedy is in the cast of the remake of early 80s horror Evil Dead, the film which launched the career of Sam Raimi and his Spartacus/Xena-producing partner Rob Tapert.
The remake, which has started shooting in and around Auckland, is the latest flick the film-making partners have brought to New Zealand with their Ghost House Pictures production company after 2007's Alaskan vampire flick 30 Days of Night and 2005's Boogeyman.
Levy is one of five friends holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods.
The cast also includes Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl, Red Riding Hood), Lou Taylor Pucci (Thumbsucker), Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker).
