Younger, seasons 1-5 (Neon):

Younger follows 40-year-old single mum Liza, who's struggling to get back into the working world after taking time off to raise her family. When she is mistaken for a millennial, she decides to reboot her life as a new, younger self. From the maker of Sex and the City, this series offers a lot more depth than its superficial premise might suggest. Available to stream now.

Ingobernable, season 2 (Netflix):

Starring Kate del Castillo as the fictional First Lady of Mexico, Emilia Urquiza, Ingobernable is a Mexican political drama. As a revolutionary leader fighting for peace, season one saw Emilia realise corruption was found not only in her country but within her home. Season 2 will see her continue to fight the system to save her daughter while facing accusations she killed her husband. Available to stream from tomorrow.

United States of Tara, seasons 1-3 (TVNZ OnDemand):

Take a trip back a few years and revisit all three seasons of the hilarious United States of Tara. Played by the brilliant Toni Collette, suburban housewife Tara suffers Dissociative Identity Disorder. When stressed Tara transitions into either wild-child teenager T, homemaker Alice, or rough-and-tumble biker dude Buck. Not knowing who will turn up each day means there's never a dull moment in the Gregson house. Available to stream now.

Top of the Lake (Lightbox):

Created by New Zealander Jane Campion, Top of the Lake is a must-see for any Kiwis yet to do so. Set in Otago, the six-part mystery explores the disappearance of a young local girl. Elizabeth Moss plays a staunch Kiwi detective whose efforts to find the girl are hampered by the secretive family. Season 1 available to stream now.
