House of Cards is back for its sixth and final season and will be led by Robin Wright. She takes the helm after Kevin Spacey was forced to exit the series due to allegations of sexual misconduct that surfaced earlier in the year. With the loss of its main character, Netflix was going to cancel the show but Wright fought for it to stay and get the proper ending it - and the rest of the cast and crew - deserves. So now her character Claire Underwood gets to step into the limelight as the first woman president and we can't wait to see how it plays out. Out tomorrow.
This one looks like one of those guilty pleasure indulgences, but something about Teresa Palmer playing a badass witch is hard to ignore. Yes, it's one of those fantasy series in which witches, vampires and demons all walk among us. It's billed as a "modern day love story" and follows historian Diana Bishop, a reluctant witch who crosses paths with a vampire and the pair work together to unravel a supernatural mystery. Is it a bit naff? Probably. But in this day and age, we're not mad at a mid-weekly dose of escapism. Available weekly from Wednesday.
